Our facilities

Hydroponic irrigation system

Drip irrigation allows us to recirculate and optimize the use of water and fertilizers in our crops throughout the year. Through suspended pipes in the greenhouse, we store excess water and fertilizer from daily irrigation. This system has allowed us to take advantage of 100% of the resources for more than 20 years , avoiding contamination of the soil in Almería with nitrates.

Renewable energy

Nijasol focuses on renewable energy, taking advantage of the abundant sun in our town. Photovoltaic solar panels generate enough electricity for our needs and we share the surplus with neighbors, promoting sustainability and collaboration.

Rainwater collection

Almería faces water scarcity, and Nijasol understands its importance for the sustainable production of fruits and vegetables. Our multi-tunnel greenhouses allow us to collect and store 100% of the rainwater through a system of channels and pipes at the top, which flow into our ponds.

CO2 contribution

Nijasol Fruits provides CO2 in the greenhouse to improve the growth and yield of tomato crops, increasing the efficiency of photosynthesis . This results in higher yield per plant and better product quality. In addition, it optimizes the use of cultivation space, maximizing production in the same area.
